House Bill 747 was passed on April 25th 2013. The bill points out the need for working Professionals to immediately report suspected child abuse and/or neglect. The individual is not allowed to have another person make this report, and it must be made immediately. This bill is intended for anyone who comes into contact with children in their work. This would include teachers, doctors, nurses, social workers, day care employees, and juvenile corrections officers. The bill takes effect on September 1st of 2013
