Texas Government Affairs Legislative Update: HCR 1
House Concurrent Resolution No. 1 was first filed on May 30th of 2013, and was adopted in the House of Representatives on the same day. This Resolution was authored by Representative Hunter. The House Constitution states clearly that neither House or Senate may adjourn for more than three days at a time without the consent of the other house. It has been revised to allow for each house to grant the other permission between May 28th 2013 and June 3rd 2013.
