Committee Report (Unamended)
HB 243 deals with the rights of community centers to seal real property. Some CCs have the right to purchase real estate, but the current laws are no clear as to whether these entities have the rights to sell real property. HB 243 seeks to clarify this by authorizing these entities to sell certain real property under specified conditions.
The bill would allows a community center to sell its real estate IF that property were acquired solely through a gift of grant of money or property from a private entity without the approval of a state or local agency.
